Does anyone have a recipe for good tasting fondant or has anyone used the MMF recipe from cake central?

I use the MMF recipe and I find it's the best tasting one around. Others like Mill Lane but you need to buy that from Creative Cutters. I'm sure you'll hear more feedback soon. I like the fact that I can make MMF anytime I need it.

Personally I think good tasting fondant is an oxymoron! Im kidding- I like the chocolate flavoured Mill Lane product a lot taste wise then any of the other fondants.

I'm not really into fondant, my mother is...and many others I know who say they don't like fondant, say that they think the MillLane is better tasting...especially the chocolate one.

I find MMF WAY too sweet... Paul posted Toba Garette's recipe for scratch fondant which is really no more difficult than MMF, and (IMHO) better tasting.
I still prefer Mill Lane, hands down! I LIKE the stretch and workability, and the taste is quite nice (the chocolate is REALLY good! Like a Tootsie roll...)

Toba's recipe is great. It's all I use since I only have access to Wilton (BLAH!! ) ) or MMF and I find the MMF a little sweet for my taste.

C4F... Creative Cutters ships their Mill Lane anywhere... I always order mine by e-mail! They have both Canadian & US divisions!

That recipe is very easy and MUCH cheaper to make than bought fondant! It taste good to me. My family just doesn't like to chew their cake icing. I also prefer good ol' BC. I'd love to use it more because it looks so nice, but not many people in my area like it. I think it's just what your use to.

I always provide a good layer of IMBC under the fondant, then if people don't want to eat it, they still get icing!

Only my husband and a few co-workers eat the fondant, most people just peal it off!
